Four people were arrested on Friday night (June 13) following a police pursuit from the Blue Mountains to Emu Heights.
Blue Mountains Highway Patrol officers located a stolen vehicle travelling on the Great Western Highway at Blaxland at about 10 pm.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle before a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit was terminated a short time later when the vehicle allegedly hit the gutter of a driveway at Strathdon Close, Emu Heights.
The car is reported to have rolled on impact, before clipping the edge of a nearby house.
The occupants of the house were not injured.
It’s believed there were five people in the car at the time.
A 15-year-old female rear-seat passenger sustained a broken arm and was taken to Nepean Hospital for surgery.
The other four people in the car, including a 16-year-old Northmead male driver, a 16-year-old Lawson male front-seat passenger, a 14-year-old St Marys male rear-seat passenger and a 15-year-old Glenmore Park female rear-seat passenger, were all injury free and were arrested at the scene.
The 16-year-old Northmead male was charged with stealing a motor vehicle, dangerous and reckless driving, driving unlicensed and breaching bail.
The 16-year-old Lawson male was charged with being carried in a conveyance and breaching bail.
The 14-year-old St Marys male was charged with being carried in a conveyance.
All three youths were refused bail and appeared in Parramatta Children’s Court the next day.
The 15-year-old Glenmore Park girl has been dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
Investigations are continuing.
